Emmergency Response

Project Detail

South Sudan is a war-torn country that has suffered series of wars that have continuously eroded physical and social infrastructures; and caused loss of millions of lives and displacements. South Sudan continues to suffer a fragile and unpredictable security situation characterized by various sporadic clashes between political factions as well as inter-clan clashes, which have continued to cause regular and massive displacements resulting to dire need for humanitarian/relief interventions. It’s estimated that 2 million people in South Sudan are IDPs (UNOCHA) and 1.9 million have fled to neighboring countries as refugees (UNHCR). With continuous reports of clashes, the number of displacement will continue to rise.
